Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Processing Sanjeev Balyan has said that Supreme court's judgement on Jat reservation is not based on the facts. Terming the decision of court unfortunate, he said that it is for the government and not the Supreme Court to decide on who would be included in the reservation list.

The minister was interacting with media at Jhajjar yesterday. He said that the apex court has dubbed Jat as organised political caste but the fact is every caste is organised and condition of all agricultural communities is same in the rural areas.

The minister also held former Chief Minister Bhupender Singh Hooda responsible for scrapping other backward class (OBC) quota for Jats in centre. He said that the Congress did not execute the Jat reservation properly in Haryana or the centre under a tactic. The minister said that the BJP is committed to provide reservation to Jats.

Meanwhile, national convener of All India Jat Sangharsh Samiti Yashpal Malik said that the Jats may announce a nationwide stir on September 13 from Mayyar village of Hisar on death anniversary of Sunil Sheoran, who was killed in clash between Jats and Haryana Police in 2009.
