Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shetter said that the Apex Court will take up the review petition filed by the state on Monday against the Cauvery River Authority's directions to release 9000 Cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu everyday till the 15th of this month. Speaking to media persons in Bangalore today, he informed that the Central team from Union Water Resources Ministry met the Chief Secretary today morning, where they were given all statistics about the Cauvery basin. The team has proceeded to basin areas thereafter to study the prevailing situation there.Meanwhile, the relay hunger strike by the Mandya Zilla Raitha Hitharakshana Samiti continued for the second day with protests reported from various cauvery basin towns and villages. The road traffic between Mysore and Bangalore continued to be disrupted by agitators who set up road block at several points. Rail traffic however was normal.
