Supreme Court will continue its hearing on the Cauvery river water dispute between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu this afternoon.<br/><br/> Yesterday the court had asked Karnataka to apprise it by 2 PM today, whether it has released water to Tamil Nadu as directed by it on September 30. <br/><br/>The order came following Karnataka's reluctance to release water. However Karnataka started releasing cauvery water for irrigation purpose to Tamil Nadu after its legislature yesterday passed a resolution to this effect. <br/><br/>The apex court will also decide on the Centre's move seeking modification of its earlier order asking it to constitute the Cauvery Water Management Board (CWMB) by today. <br/>Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu government has asked Centre to withdraw its application in the Supreme Court seeking<br/>modification of order on constituting CWMB.
