SC to hear 2G case review petitions today

The Supreme Court is likely to take up later in the day applications in the 2G Spectrum case seeking review of the many aspects of the court judgements cancelling 122 licences issued by former Telecom Minister A Raja. A special bench comprising Justices G S Singhvi and K S Radhakrishnan will hear the petitions today.

The bench is also expected to consider the review petition, filed by the Centre seeking exesupmtion of remarks made by the apex court against the Prime Minister's Office and challenging the finding from the apex court that auction sale of the spectrum is the best way to maintain transparency in the allocation of licences. Some of the affected companies are seeking review of the apex court direction cancelling all the 122 licences
