A special bench of the Supreme Court would be created to monitor and address the issues of infrastructure problems plaguing subordinate courts across the country. The apex court said it will call for reports from the Chief Secretary of all states and Registrars of High Courts to consider the issues on every Monday. <br/><br/>A Bench comprising Chief Justice S H Kapadia and Justices K S Radhakrishnan and Swatanter Kumar said, the special bench would function on the lines of the forest bench which holds environment and forest related matters on Friday. <br/><br/>The Bench, which was hearing a PIL relating to the working of Consumer Protection Act, also said the matters of the Constitution Bench, which was heard only twice a week, would now be listed on the five working days. The court said for the successful functioning of the special bench, it would appoint an amicus curiae to represent the person approaching it.
