The Supreme Court on Friday stayed the Andhra Pradesh High Court order granting bail to Maoist leader Kobad Ghandy.
A bench of the apex court also issued a notice to Ghandy on a petition filed by Andhra Pradesh government seeking quashing of the bail granted to him by the High Court. Ghandy is accused of killing of a Congress leader and eight others in 2005.
He has been in jail since 2009 after being arrested and is facing trial in around 20 criminal cases in different parts of the country.
