The Scheduled Castes and Schedule Tribes Parliamentary Forum has demanded reservation for women, SC, ST and other Backward classes in the proposed Lokpal panel. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, Congress MP and Member of the Forum, P L Punia said, they have sought an appointment with the Prime Minister tomorrow to discuss the issue. Mr. Punia added that if the demand is not met, all the 166 members of the Forum in both the Houses of Parliament will boycott the proceedings. Another member of the Forum and Lok Janshakti Party leader, Ram Vilas Paswan said that the Standing Committee looking into the Lokpal, has not listened to their demand and urged the government to make provision for reservation of these communities in the Judiciary.
