The Supreme Court today sought the Centre's response on a plea by Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru for transfer to a prison in Jammu and Kashmir from Tihar jail. Guru had approached the apex court for its directions to the government to shift him to a prison in his home state. In his petition he said his family members live there and that it was difficult for them to come over to the national capital to meet him.Guru has been sentenced to death for plotting the December 2001 attack.
