The Supreme Court today refused to entertain a plea questioning the Special Investigative Team probe giving clean chit to Narendra Modi in 2002 Gujarat riots.

The Apex Court also declined plea for reconstitution of SIT. The SIT report gave Modi a clean chit in 2012 in the Gulbarg Society massacre. In its closure report, the SIT had said that it found no evidence whatsoever against Modi.

A lower court had in December 2013 upheld the closure report of the SIT.
