The Supreme Court today rejected the plea of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh governments against the release of film 'Padmaavat' in the two states. <br/><br/>A bench, headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra, refused to modify its earlier order on the issue and paved way for the screening of the movie on the 25th of this month. <br/><br/>It said people must understand that the apex court has passed the order and they must abide by it. The court said, states must ensure that law and order prevails. <br/><br/>The Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh governments had moved the court yesterday saying that Section 6 of the Cinematograph Act empowers them to stop the exhibition of any controversial movie on the grounds of possible violation of law and order.
