The Supreme Court today dismissed a petition for making Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh a party in Coalgate scam case.
A bench comprising Justices R M Lodha, Madan B Lokur and Kurien Joseph also ruled that the Prime Minister shall not be interrogated in the case.
An affidavit was filed by M L Sharma, an advocate for seeking direction to CBI to quiz Dr Singh.
The Prime Minister has himself offered that CBI can interrogate him in connection with coalgate scam as he has
nothing to hide.
