The Supreme Court has appointed a committee to frame guidelines to prevent misuse of public funds by the government in giving advertisements of leaders for political purposes.

The apex court also asked the committee to be headed by N R Madhava Menon, former director of National Judicial Academy, Bhopal, to submit its report within three weeks.
