SC orders to arrest DG FIA in Pakistan

The Supreme Court in Pakistan has ordered the arrest of the Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency. Geo News said the order to arrest FIA chief Wasim Ahmed came during a hearing into National Insurance Company Limited, NICL scam. A three-member bench of the apex court, comprising Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and two other judges was hearing a suo motu case against the alleged corruption of over 5 billion rupees in the NICL affairs. The order was issued on the statement of an FIA official that the DG FIA was protecting an accused, Amin Qaim Dada. The official told the court that they could not arrest Amin Dada because when they raided, FIA chief was with him.
