The Supreme Court has ordered initiation of contempt proceedings against Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh for flagrant violation of its direction to stop construction activities at statues and memorials in Lucknow.<br/> <br/>The apex court directed the Chief Secretary to appear in person on November 4 when it takes up the contempt matter.<br/><br/>
