SC on 2G: No case made out against Chidambaram; Swamy's plea rejected

The Supreme Court today dismissed plea for probe against Finance Minister P Chidambaram in the 2G spectrum case.The court observed that no case is made out against P Chidambaram. It also said that there is no material on record to prove that Chidambaram abused his official position and prima facie no material to show that he got pecuniary benefits. It added that Criminal conspiracy cannot be inferred merely because Chidambaram met Raja and DoT officials on spectrum pricing The order came on the pettion by Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy who had challanged the trail courts order.
