The Supreme Court today issued notice to petitioners who have challenged demonetisation move before different high courts. The notices were issued on the Centre's transfer petition. <br/><br/>The apex court refused the Centre's request to stay proceedings pending in various high courts, saying people may get immediate relief from them. <br/><br/>It fixed December 2nd for hearing the Centre's plea to transfer all pleas on the issue to either the apex court or to one of the High Courts.<br/><br/>The Attorney General of India, Mukul Rohatgi told the Supreme Court more than Rs 6 lakh crores have been deposited in banks uptil now after demonetisation.<br/><br/> He said there is a big surge in digital use of money transaction after the move. He informed the court that the Government has set up a committee which will assess the ground situation in the country on demonetisation.
