SC, HC judgments should be available in major Indian languages: Prez

<span style="color: #222222;">President Ram Nath Kovind today said maximum number of judgments of the Supreme Court and the high courts should be available in major Indian languages. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Inaugurating the new additional building of the Supreme Court, Mr Kovind appreciated the Supreme Court's openmindedness in developing and deploying software that translates judgment texts into different languages. Mr Kovind expressed hope that with time and experience, the software program will only improve and incorporate many more languages.<br />'' <br />'' President who received today the translations of 100 important judgments of the Supreme Court said, these will now be available in a variety of regional and Indian languages, and accessible to hundreds of millions of citizens who may not know English. He said, all 31 vacancies in the Supreme Court have been filled by able judges and this has happened after a full decade.<br />''<br />''Speaking on the occasion, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Ranjan Gogoi said this new building is dedicated to the people of the country. <br />''<br />''Justice Gogoi said Supreme Court stood like a sentinel when there is any threat to Constitution of our country. Law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said the new Supreme Court building is inaugurated at a time when the Apex Court is having its full strength of judges. Mr Prasad said time has now come to set up an All India judicial services.</span>
