Supreme Court has granted interim bail to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, J. Jayalalithaa and three others in disproportionate assets case. She moved the apex court after Karnataka High Court denied her bail following her conviction and four year sentence in the graft case.
Supreme Court granted Jayalalithaa relief after the AIADMK chief gave assurance that she will not take any adjournment in the high court and will file paper book of her appeal within 2 months.
The apex court told her that it will not give a day more if she fails to file paperbook within 2 months. Meanwhile, celebrations broke out in Tamil Nadu after the apex court order.
