SC extends stay on proceedings against Delhi CM Kejriwal in election law violation case in UP

The Supreme Court has extended its interim stay on the proceedings against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a case for allegedly making objectionable remarks against the BJP and the Congress in Uttar Pradesh during the 2014 Lok Sabha election campaign. <br />''<br />''Arvind Kejriwal had moved the Supreme Court against the Allahabad High Court order which had refused to discharge him in the criminal case pending before a trial court at Sultanpur. Kejriwal has been accused of an offence under section 125 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. He is accused of promoting enmity between classes in connection with elections.<br />
