The Supreme Court has dismissed gangster Abu Salem's appeal against his conviction and seven-year jail term in a fake passport case. Salem was sentenced to seven years in jail in 2013 in the 2001 fake passport case by a special CBI court in Hyderabad. He had allegedly procured the fake passport under the fictitious identity of Ramil Kamil Malik by submitting bogus documents to the Hyderabad Regional Passport Office in 2001.
