The Supreme Court today directed the Tamil Nadu government to ensure that no agitation takes place in the state over the NEET examination issue, where protests have intensified after the suicide of a medical aspirant.<br/><br/>The apex court directed the Chief Secretary of the state that anybody involved in any kind of activity that stalls normal life of citizens should be booked under the appropriate law. <br/><br/>A bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra passed the direction observing that the National Eligibility and Entrance Test, NEET, has already been upheld by the apex court. <br/><br/>The top court issued notice to Tamil Nadu government on a plea seeking a direction to maintain law and order and seeking judicial inquiry into the incident. <br/><br/>The bench will now hear the matter on 18th September.The suicide of the girl had led to widespread protests in Tamil Nadu with many protesters being detained.

The bench will now hear the matter on 18th September.
