Supreme Court today restrained BCCI from disbursing funds to state bodies till they filed affidavits promising to abide by the Lodha panel's recommendations in letter and spirit.<br/><br/>In a short interim order, a bench headed by Chief Justice T S Thakur directed the state associations to freeze the amounts received by them from BCCI through the Special General Body Meeting last month, till they agreed to the reform measures.<br/><br/>It also made it clear that the amount of 16.72 crore rupees each disbursed to state cricket associations should not be spent till they filed affidavits. The funds should be kept in fixed deposits, it said. <br/><br/>The apex court also directed BCCI President Anurag Thakur to file a personal affidavit within 10 days clarifying the allegation that he had asked the ICC to say that implementation of the apex court-ordered reforms would amount to governmental interference and lead to BCCI's disqualification from international cricket.<br/><br/>The case will further be heard on 17th of this month.
