The Supreme Court today deferred the hearing on the bail applications of various accused in the 2 G Scam case to 31st of this month. A bench headed by Justice G S Singhvi deferred the hearing and posted the matter to October 31 when the court would reopen after the Diwali break.
Five corporate executive– Unitech Wireless' MD Sanjay Chandra, Swan Telecom's Director Vinod Goenka and Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani group's executives Hari Nair, Gautam Doshi and Surrendra Pipara have approached the apex court for bail.
They have moved the apex court challenging Delhi High Court and trial court orders turning down their bail pleas.
Meanwhile, a Delhi court today reserved its order on framing of charges in the 2G spectrum case. It will pronounce its order on 22nd of this month on the matter after which a formal trial will begin in a criminal case.
The court also made it clear it would resume hearing on the bail applications of various accused in the case, including DMK MP Kanimozhi, from October 24.
