SC decides to hear issue of implemening Majithia Wage Board for journalists

The Supreme Court today decided to hear from Wednesday the issue of implementation of the recommendations of Majithia Wage Board for journalists and non-journalists.
A bench comprising justices Dalveer Bhandari and Deepak Verma said that after hearing the contesting parties it will take “some decision”.
During the brief hearing, Additional Solicitor General submitted that the Centre is unable to take a decision on the issue of issuing notification for the implementation of the award of the wageboard as the matter has been pending in the apex court.
