SC asks Kerala HC to examine Ramachandran’s petition

The Supreme Court has asked the Kerala High Court to freshly examine Congress candidate K K Ramachandran's petition challenging the election of M.V. Sreyamakumar whom he had accused of electoral malpractices.<br/><br/>JD(S) candidate Sreyamakumar was elected from Kalpetta Assembly constitutency in the 29th of April, 2006. Ramachandran had accused that Sreyamakumar won the election by making false allegations of bribery against him. <br/><br/> The Kerala High Court had dismissed the Congress candidate's plea on the ground that he had not disclosed sufficient reasons for entertaining the petition.
