The Supreme Court asked the NDA government to make its stand clear on fixation of the price for gas from Krishna-Godavri basin. A bench headed by Justice T S Thakur asked the government whether it sticks to the previous UPA government's policy or is it making any departure from it.

Solicitor General Ranjit Kumar told the apex court that NDA government has deferred implementing formula for gas pricing recommended by C Rangarajan Committee, till the end of this month.

Kumar also informed the bench that the new government has formed it's own panel to recommend changes in gas pricing policy. The bench posted the next hearing till 14th of November.
