SC appoints four-member panel led by former CAG to run BCCI

The Supreme Court has appointed a four-member committee of administrators led by former Comptroller and Auditor General of India, CAG Vinod Rai to run the affairs of the Board Of Control For Cricket In India, BCCI. <br/><br/>Mr Rai will head the committee comprising former women cricket captain Diana Edulji, historian Ramachandra Guha and IDFC CEO Vikram Lamaye.<br/><br/> The apex court today also rejected the Centre's plea to appoint the secretary of the sports ministry as one of the administrators. It referred to its earlier ruling debarring ministers and government servants from holding any office in BCCI. <br/><br/>Amitabh Chaudhary of BCCI and Vikram Limaye will represent the Indian cricket board at the International Cricket Council, ICC meeting in first week of February.
