The Supreme Court has allowed the Income Tax department to re-open a tax case against actor Amitabh Bachchan pertaining to his income in 2001. According to the Income Tax department, the actor owes 1 crore 66 lakh rupees in taxes for his show Kaun Banega Crorepati.<br/><br/>In 2008, the Bombay High Court had granted relief to the actor by dismissing an appeal filed by the Income Tax Commissioner who re-opened the case.<br/><br/>The Income Tax department had moved the Supreme Court against the High Court order.
