SC agrees to hear graft case against Hazare-run NGO

The Supreme Court today agreed to hear a PIL on alleged siphoning off of funds given to an Non Governmental Organization, Hind Swaraj Trust run by social activist Anna Hazare.

The apex court issued notices to Anna Hazare, CBI, the Centre and Maharashtra government in connection with the case. A bench of the court sought the governments' response on the petition. The petioner has accused Hazare of siphoning off of funds granted by the government to his trust in 1995 and has sought CBI probe into the case.
