The Supreme Court today decided to hear and examine the swearing in of Kalikho Pul as the new chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh. A Constitution bench, headed by Justice Khehar, will hear a fresh plea filed by former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki and former Speaker Nabam Rebia. Both Tuki and Rebia moved the Apex Court questioning the abrupt swearing in of Mr Pul as the Chief Minister of the state on Friday night. <br/><br/>The Apex Court decided to hear and examine the appointment of Mr Pul as the new CM after senior counsel, Fali Nariman and Kapil Sibal, mentioned the matter before the Constitution bench. Arunachal Pradesh was hit by political turmoil after 21 of 47 Congress MLAs in the 60-member house, impeached the state Speaker Rebia and elected dissident party leader Pul to replace Chief Minister Tuki.
