In the United States, a federal grand jury in Lubbock on Wednesday indicted Saudi engineering student Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari on a single count of attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction. Prosecutors say Aldawsari was attempting to build a bomb with components bought on line and planning to attack various sites, including dams, nuclear plants and the Dallas home of former US President George Bush. Aldawsari was arrested on the 23rd of last month and faces up to life imprisonment and 2 lakh 50,000 US Dollars fine if convicted. Court records said, federal agents traced his online purchases, discovered extremist online posts. Raids were conducted at his apartment; computer and e-mail records were and recovered.
