In Saudi Arabia, a shooting at a Royal Palace has left two security guards dead and three others injured yesterday. <br/><br/>The attack occurred at a checkpoint outside the western gate to the Al Salam Palace in Jeddah, where the royal family conducts official business during the summer months. Saudi King Salman is currently outside the kingdom on a state visit to Russia. <br/><br/>A Saudi interior ministry statement said, a 28-year-old man was killed after he drove up to the palace gates and shot at security. The gunman, who was identified as Mansour al-Amri, a Saudi national. Security forces seized Kalashnikov rifles and petrol bombs that had been in Amri's possession.<br/>'<br/>An investigation is underway to determine his motive for the attack.<br/>
