Saudi Arabia's king promises multibillion-dollar package of reforms

Saudi Arabia's king Abdullah has promised a multibillion-dollar package of reforms. He raised cash and loans to the citizens. But he also warned today that security forces will hit whoever considers undermining the kingdom's security and stability.In his decree, which was read out on state television, he announced 60,000 new jobs in the security forces, which will employ huge number of jobless young men. He raised the monthly minimum wage to 800 dollars and a monthly pension of around 260 dollars to the country's unemployed. The King also declared establishment of an anti-corruption committee to fight graft.
