Saudi Arabian authorities arrest more than hundred Al-Qaeda militants

Saudi Arabia has arrested more than one hundred militants belonging to three cells of the Al-Qaeda planning terrorist attacks in the kingdom. Our correspondent reports that cells comprised of Saudis, Yemenis, a Somali, a Bangladeshi and an Eritrean national.Saudi Arabia has arrested more than one hundred persons belonging to three cells of Al-Qaeda militants who were planning attacks in the kingdom. Interior Ministry in a statement posted on Official Saudi Press agency has said that cells consisted of Saudis, Yemenis, a Somali, a Bangladeshi and an Eritrean national.The security forces also seized weapons, ammunition, cameras, computers, communication equipment, several prepaid phone cards, cash and various documents. These elements had build a network including suicide bombers, to carry out attacks at the Kingdom and to target national facilities and security personnel.The large cell was discovered as the result of an investigation launched after suspected Al-Qaeda militants — two of them dressed as women — tried to infiltrate the country in October with explosives. The two were killed in a shootout at the border and a third was arrested.
