Ms VK Sasikala, the long-time aide of late AIADMK leader J Jayalalithaa, has been granted emergency parole for five days to visit her ailing husband in Chennai. <br/><br/>Ms Sasikala left the Bengaluru Parappana Agraharam prison complex by around 3 pm and is on way to Chennai by road. She is expected to reach the Tamil Nadu capital on Friday night. The AIADMK General Council recently sought to disqualify her as the party General Secretary saying, the post will be held vacant in memory of its charismatic leader Jayalalithaa.<br/><br/>The conditions imposed by the Bengaluru prison authorities for Ms Sasikala's parole are that she can visit only the residential address mentioned in her application and the hospital where her husband is undergoing treatment. She will be staying in the residence of her close relative in Thyagaraya Nagar in Chennai. <br/><br/>She has been barred from meeting any political leader or the media. She has also been denied permission to involve herself in any political activity or participate in public events.<br/><br/>Ms Sasikala's 74 year old husband Natarajan was suffering from multiple organ failure and underwent kidney and liver transplant on Wednesday in a city Hospital.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that Ms Sasikala's Chennai visit comes after nearly eight months since her imprisonment in the Bengaluru prison. She was jailed on February 16 last following the confirmation of her conviction in the Disproportionate Assets case by the Supreme Court. <br/><br/>The state minister and ruling AIADMK leader D Jayakumar in his press interaction in Chennai today said, Ms Sasikala's visit would have no political impact and denied any attempt from the ruling party legislators to meet her. <br/><br/>Such a meeting in any case is barred by the prison authorities. Some of her loyalists gathered before the Thiyagaraya Nagar address where she will be staying during the parole.
