French President Nicolas Sarkozy will reach Saudi Arabia this evening for an overnight visit to the kingdom. Saudi media said the top item on the agenda during the meeting with King Abdullah would be the stalled West Asia peace process. President Sarkozy recently hosted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Paris, and also spoke with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. The French president is pushing for a renewal of peace talks and has expressed concern over the reigning deadlock.<br/>Meanwhile French foreign minister, Bernard Kouchner, is reaching Israel and he will also visit the Palestinian territories to make an effort to bring the two sides back to the negotiating table.<br/><br/>
