Sarkozy condemns Israel's attack against international flotilla

French President Nicolas Sarkozy today condemned Israel's attack against an international flotilla to Gaza. <br/><br/>A statement issued by his office said the President expressed his profound emotion to the tragic consequence of Israel's military operation against the 'peace flottia' destination to Gaza. He condemned the disproportionate use of military force and sent his condolences to the victim’s families. <br/><br/>Earlier in the morning Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner also called for a thorough investigation into the attack and urged re-launch of peace process in the region. Kouchner said nothing can justify the use of such violence and said he was shocked to know the news. <br/><br/>According to an Israeli television, Israeli forces today attacked an international flotilla carrying aid to besieged Gaza on international waters, killing up to 19 and wounding more than 30 others. Two ships had also been damaged in the attack.
