President Sarkozy of France has called for clear international standards on nuclear safety in view of the ongoing crisis Fukushima nuclear plant. Mr. Sarkozy, the first foreign leader to go to Japan since the earthquake and tsunami which damaged the plant, proposed a meeting of G-20 countries to discuss the issue in France next month.
