Nation is celebrating 134th birth anniversary of one of India's greatest leader Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. Several functions are being organised in the capital to remember his contribution in freedom struggle and unity of the country. Lok Sabha speaker, Mrs. Meera Kumar, Prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Leader of opposition , Mr. L.K.Advani, and UPA chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi paid floral tributes at the potrait of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel in the central hall of parliament to mark the ocassion. A booklet containing profile of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel was brought by the Lok Sabha secretariat and was presented to the dignitaries.The potrait of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel was unveiled by the then President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, in the central hall of parliament house on 23rd April 1958.<br/>
