Saraswat asks Defence Engineers to develop counter technologies

Scientific Advisor to the Defence Minister Mr. V.K. Saraswat has asked Defence Engineers to develop counter technologies to the modern equipments being acquired by terrorist and disruptive forces.<br/>In his convocation address at the Ministry College of Electronic and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) in Secundrabad today, Dr Sarawat asked the graduating engineers to treat the challenges in the Defence fields as opportunities to use modern technologies in the combat operations. <br/>Stating that there is a global thinking to reduce man power in the Defence sector, he asked the Defence Engineers toward large scale automation and deployment of sophisticated system.<br/>Stating that the military would become smaller, specialised and knowledge-based. In the new context, he asked the graduating Engineers to gear up the technological advancement such as long range precision strike and fighter aircrafts. A total 45 persons have been conferred degrees in engineering and one in M. Tech on the occasion.<br/>
