The West Bengal government has decided to set up a corpus of 500 crore rupees to give relief to the investors who have been duped by the Saradha Chit fund. Announcing this in Kolkata last evening, the Chief Minister Miss Mamata Banerjee says that the high level enquiry commission which has been formed to investigate the scam will recommend to the government on the modalities on the pay back.
The prime accused in the Chit Fund scam in West Bengal- Sudipto Sen, and his two associates, will be produced before the SDJM court at Salt Lake today. The trio were brought back to Kolkata last night on transit remand after police arrested them from Kashmir last monday.
