CBI is conducting searches at seven locations in Kolkata, twelve in Guwahati, two in Dhubri and one in Mumbai in connection with Saradha chit fund scam.

The agency said searches are on at premises of Assam MLAs Himanta Biswa Sarma, Anjan Dutta, former DGP Shankar Baruah and singer Sadananda Gogoi.

In Kolkata, searches are being conducted at premises of Bapi Karim, former personal assistant to Trinamool leader Asif Khan, ex-IPS officer Deben Biswas and others.
