Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is carrying out searches at 28 locations in Delhi,Kolkata, Guwahati and Odisha in connection with multi-crore Saradha chit fund scam.

The residence and offices of former Assam Minister Matang Sinh, his wife Manoranjana Sinh, Ex IPS officer Rajat Majumdar, East Bengal club official Devbrat Sarkar and and Saradha group chairman Sudipto Sen were raided by the CBI teams.

Trinamool Congress's Rajya Sabha member Kunal Ghosh is one of the main accused in the scam.
