BJP President Amit Shah has alleged that Saradha Chit Fund money was used in Burdwan blast. Addressing a public rally in Kolkata yesterday, he strongly criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for opposing the NIA probe into the blast to save the Trinamool Congress leader allegedly involved in the incident. Shah also alleged that Banerjee is trying to shield the guilty involved in the Saradha Chit fund scam.
Lashing out at the Chief Minister, the BJP President justified the CBI action against two jail Trinamool Congress MPs Kunal Ghosh and Srinjoy Bose in the scam. He said that if the Trinamool Congress Chief has the guts then she should say that both of them are innocent instead of maligning the CBI. Shah ridiculed the protest by theTrinamool Congress MPs outside Parliament over the issue of black money and said that Saradha scam money whether black or white has to be proved. The BJP President charged that Trinamool Congress Chief for doing vote bank politics undermining the national security.
Reacting to BJP President's comments, ruling Trinamool Congress Secretary General and West Bengal Education Minister Partho Chatterjee said that the BJP is trying to disintegrate regional political parties by using power and police to maintain its political supremacy. He said, the whole world knows about the honesty of Mamata Banerjee and the BJP will not succeed in tarnishing her image.
