Sarabjit Singh who is imprisoned at the Kot Lakhpat jail in Pakistan was attacked by an inmate today. Singh was shifted to the Jinnah Hospital in Lahore after receiving initial treatment at the prison hospital. Prison authorities have not released details of the inmate who attacked Sarabjit. According to initial reports Sarabjit received head injuries. Singh was convicted for his involvement in serial bomb blasts in Lahore and Faisalabad in 1990. He was awarded the death sentence in 1991.
