The Santosh Trophy final match between Tamil Nadu and Services at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack started at 6.30 p.m. as rains earlier delayed the start of the game. Tamil Nadu had last figured in the Santosh Trophy final in 1971 and after 40 years,they are in the finals for the second time. Hence,Tamil Nadu are determined to make it count this evening as they take on Services. However, Services are certainly the favourites as they have a better understanding of the hard and slippery surface at the Barabati where they have played four matches . Services had won the Santosh Trophy in 1960-61.
