Maharashtra cruised into the semi-finals of the Santosh Trophy national football tournament by beating Tamil Nadu, 2-1 in a group B quarterfinal league match in Kollam yesterday. Maharashtra secured nine points after winning all the three matches in the quarter-final league. The second quarter-final between Jharkhand and Goa, ended in a 2-2 draw.
