Sanskriti Express showcasing Tagore's works to travel to B'desh

The Sanskriti Express which showcases the life and works of Nobel laureate Poet Rabindranath Tagore will also travel to Bangladesh to be displayed in different parts of the country. <br/><br/>Addressing a gathering in Tagore’s lodge in Kushtia , the Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Rajeet Mitter said the train exhibition is part of the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Rabindranath Tagore which India and Bangladesh have decided to celebrate jointly. <br/><br/>The Information and cultural affairs minister of Bangladesh Abul Kalam Azad said that his government is taking steps to build an University like Shanti Niketan in Shilaidaha near Kushtia where Tagore’s Kutibari is located. <br/><br/>The Minister and the High Commissioner jointly unveiled the Bust of Rabindranath Tagore installed at the Tagore’s lodge in Kushtia town. The bust made by famous Indian Sculptor Gautam Pal has been donated by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations to the Kushtia Municipality. <br/><br/>India has also gifted over 50 books on the life and works of Tagore to the Mayor of Kushtia for the library at Tagore Lodge along with a set of musical instruments, including a Tabla, Violin and Santoor for teaching of Rabindra Sangeet at the Lodge.
