Sanjay bags three gold at IBSA World Youth & Student Championships for Blind

Sanjay Kumar struck gold in three categories as India won 17 medals, including nine gold, at the 2009 IBSA World Youth and Student Championships for blind at Colorado Springs, USA. The 14-year-old Sanjay won gold medals in 100m and 200m sprints and also in the long jump event in the junior group in boys' B3 category. In a fantastic run, Sanjay clocked 13.24 seconds to win the 100m race. Over 350 athletes from 25 countries took part in the two-day championship held on July 17-18. Organised by the United States Association of Blind Athletes, the Championship is the largest blind sports event for under-nineteen blind and visually impaired athletes in the world.
