The Indo-Russian duo of Sania Mirza and Elena Vesnina has advanced to the final of the Family Circle Cup WTA tennis tournament at Charleston in USA. In the semi-final the pair beat the combination of Ji Zheng and Peng Shuai in straight sets 6-2, 7-5. The unseeded Indo-Russian duo is now in contention for their second WTA title after their triumph at Indian Wells last month. Sania and Vesnina will take on the fourth-seeded American pair of Bethannie Mattek-Sands and Meghann Shaughnessy. The Indo-Russian combine had dispatched the American pair 6-0, 7-5 in the finals of the Indian Wells event.
